Lorenzo Passi fell in love with glass while attending art school in Bologna. Since then, he embarked on a long, intense path, leading first to work with most important masters in Murano (including Seguso and Zanetti), then to study in Nuutajarvi’s school in Finland. This allowed him to achieve a very high technical level and to experiment freely, also combining glass with other materials, like metal and wood. As he came back to Venice, he started a long series of collaborations and exhibitions that won him several prizes and awards worldwide.
Jean Blanchaert describes his pieces as “iron-glass poems, speaking a contemporary artistic language with an ancient, pure force”.
