The Pomarici Santomasi Palace, in Sorrento, hosts both Alessandro Fiorentino’s workshop (Design&Tarsia) and the Museum of inlaid Wood. In 1999, after the restoration of the building by architect Fiorentino himself, the palace opened in order to preserve and promote the important tradition of wood inlay. Besides the exhibitions, other beautiful works such as museum pieces, interior decorations and contemporary marquetry are created there. Everything is designed and installed enterely to measure. Alessandro Fiorentino Collection is also committed in terms of training: they organise educational workshops (by appointment only). Additionally, they restore certain special pieces of craftsmanship.
