The Madre Terra ceramics workshop was started in 2010 in Laterza, near Taranto, thanks to Maria Matera’s passion for art pottery.
Her hand-decorated items, recalling the traditional ceramics on display in several decorative art museums, are created following an ancient local technique. They are inspired by natural elements and painted in the characteristic local turquoise hue, in an excellent balance between creativity and tradition, to harmoniously fit into any home environment, from classic to modern design settings.
Each client can choose among a great variety of models or ask for a one-of-a-kind customised piece.
