Bottega Ghianda is a world-renowned excellence cabinet-making, started in Brianza in the mid-19th century, initially creating inlaid wooden parquet floors, later specialising in a great variety of furniture items and accessories. All along the 1970s, Pierluigi Ghianda, known as “the poet of wood”, gained worldwide renown for his bottega, also thanks to prestigious collaborations with famous designers, such as Gae Aulenti, Cini Boeri, the Castiglioni brothers, Gio Ponti, Richard Sapper, Ettore Sottsass, Matteo Thun, and many others.
Shortly after the Master’s death in 2015, entrepreneur Romeo Sozzi took over his business, entrusting Michele De Lucchi with artistic direction. Today, Bottega Ghianda is continuing its production thanks to the artisans who have inherited Pierluigi Ghianda’s savoir-faire and stands for the future of Italy’s prestigious manufacturing business.
