Giuseppe and Francesco Emblema are the natural heirs of their father Salvatore, a famous conceptual artist.
In their workshop at Terzigno, near Mount Vesuvio, they draw their inspiration from nature to create and shape matter. In their research, they experiment with stones deriving from lava paste, giving shape to the very essence of the Vesuvian area through lapilli, pozzolan ashes, sands, foams and pyroclastic materials.
Later on, they started working with metal castings for home furnishings or artistic sculptures. In their latest experimentations, traditional materials interact with plant-based structures, made of dried, cut and moulded leaves and barks.
