During the 1980s, after obtaining a degree in architecture, Gabriella Sacchi opened her workshop dedicated to contemporary ceramics. There, she develops new ceramic production and decoration techniques, and researches new shapes, which combine art, craftwork and design. In 2002 she opened Spazio Nibe, where she pursues teaching and cultural activities, and displays her own widely awarded and prized colourful works. She also taught artistic education, cooperated with different publishers, and worked with the renowned artist and designer Bruno Munari. Also, new pieces based on customers’ drawings can be commissioned in her workshop, where she carries forward rich educational activities.

Gabriella Sacchi is profound and straightforward, intelligently simple in manner and always a person of substance: I like her and I like her work as a ceramics artist. Her creations, whether they are objects in everyday use or overtly artistic works, always assert themselves as the fruit of manual and head work. There is never anything vague or general. Any object in her workshop – however simple – seems to be there just for you: it evokes memories, fuels dreams, resonates with your life experience. The words, which the artist sometimes writes on her creations, open a window on a manifestly poetic dimension, where ceramics become a crossroads for different languages.
