After completing her education in humanities, Paola Staccioli approached the applied arts, and, in time, transformed her passion for ceramics into a profession.
Her creations break free of the functional component and become artworks with a unique style. The subjects of her works are both abstract and figurative, featuring fish, flowers, or fictional characters: unusual shapes capture the eye thanks to the shiny hues the artist achieves from the ancient lustre techniques. Colours, though, make her works non-replicable, as they vary depending on the degree of oxidation the metallic minerals attain in the oven, with unpredictable effects.
Her works have been on display in Germany, France and Japan, as well as in prestigious Florentine institutions like Uffizi and Palazzo Pitti.

Paola is a true artist, the daughter of a great ceramist and, like her sister, apparently not frightened at the idea of expressing her creativity alongside a father who might have been considered as quite awkward by other people. A distinctive lightness characterises her creations, both in terms of materials and, even more, decoration. The colours are also special: her unique palette makes her objects unmistakably recognisable for their hues, lustre and transparency.
