In 1974, Tommaso Candria started his workshop in the Marche, in Mogliano, specialising in the ancient weaving art: a widespread tradition in the area round Macerata, sinking its roots in the daily life of old-time peasants. While this manufacturing process was once used to create wicker baskets for fruit harvesting, today it is highly appreciated in the fashion world, where it is implemented to produce accessories in marsh grass and fine hides.
By combining creativity and manual skills, Tommaso Candria creates entirely handcrafted bags and belts, easily recognised for the care of details and ground-breaking design. The great variety of weaving styles and patterns allows to create customised, therefore unique and precious items.
