Cavalli&Poli was started by two engineers who, at the end of 19th century, specialised in creating decorations and frames, by retrieving the old formula of the pastework technique.
By bringing together traditional craft and modern taste and competing with the industrial section, they started producing a great number of matrices, which they entrusted to skilled artists for designing and ornamentation. Thus, they gave birth to novel, top quality artefacts and, to this day, their frames are on display in historical buildings, private mansions and important museums worldwide.
In 2000, Piero Pea took over the company, thus retrieving its vast archive of designs and matrices, and contributing to pass on this precious savoir-faire. By collaborating with Studio Rufus, Cavalli&Poli are now producing both pastework and hardwood frames, in ancient or modern style, offering a great variety of finishes and customisations.
