Guido Polloni opened his workshop in Florence In 1919, being the first ever master glazier cooperating with modern artists and architects to create stained-glass windows for private homes and public buildings, as well as religious artworks.
Today, Sergio Papucci, who inherited the workshop in 1984, is carrying forward the production, ultimately refining, with the support of his daughters and sons-in-law, the very characteristics which made Studio Polloni a landmark worldwide.
By combining traditional techniques with innovative materials and manufacturing processes, the workshop carries out all kinds of tailored projects, from ancient styles to contemporary taste. Restoration works on ancient stained-glass windows are also performed by resorting to deep historical and scientific research and cooperating with a number of heritage Departments.
