Marta Driusso is a young jewellery maker. After graduating in Decoration from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna and completing her masters programme in History and Design of Jewellery at the University of Siena, she started working in various ceramics and jewellery workshops in Italy and abroad. In 2019 she opened an atelier in Florence where she now designs and created her own jewellery, mainly in “cartoceramica”, a resistant and light type of papier mâché made of recycled paper and industrial ceramic powder which is hand painted and then coated with resin. Her highly original creations are brightly coloured and evoke natural forms to convey a certain ironic yet naïve joy. Each piece is unique and created entirely by hand.
