Soseishi, literally “paper comes back to life,” expresses the desire and intention of Sonia Antoniazzi, Viviana Goggi, and Stefania Passerini — founding partners — to restore light and value to paper materials and to the graphic and artistic techniques applied to them. Based in Turin, the company was born from the meeting and shared commitment of professionals qualified in different fields, with the aim of responding to the needs of conservation and restoration of graphic, photographic, archival, and library heritage. Soseishi works with public institutions, private clients, collectors, and artists who wish to protect, preserve, and promote their heritage. The laboratory boasts important collaborations with institutions such as the Turin Museum Foundation, the Egyptian Museum of Turin, the Civic Archaeological Museums of Bologna and Milan, the Museo del ’900 in Milan, the State Archives and the University of Turin, the National Libraries of Turin and Naples, and the Vatican Museums, to name just a few. Restoration work on paper materials — including cleaning procedures, restoration of the support’s structural uniformity, and chromatic reintegration — as well as the services offered in the archival field — arrangement and reorganization, inventorying, cataloguing, and digitization of archival and photographic collections — are all carried out according to the highest professional standards, driven by the great passion and expertise of the three restorers.
