Alfredo Correnti is a Sicilian artisanal goldsmith’s workshop established in 1967, the year of its first creations, and over time it has evolved into a brand of handmade jewelry with a strong Sicilian identity. The island’s history – particularly the deep-rooted Greek and Roman influences embedded in its culture – is clearly reflected in the collections, designed by the owner and now crafted by a team of artisans working in the renovated open workshop within the historic boutique in Messina.
Alfredo Correnti jewelry is largely created using the lost-wax casting technique, the same process employed for the great bronze sculptures of antiquity: the volume is first modelled directly in wax, a mold is then made, and through casting the equivalent form is obtained in metal, which is subsequently finished using various techniques, including stone setting, burin engraving, cleaning and patination. In addition to the brand’s original designs, the artisans also create bespoke pieces based on clients’ drawings, customizations, restorations and repairs, as well as engraving on stones.
Today, Alfredo Correnti’s activity is carried forward and further developed by the second generation, with the support of his children Leila and Carlo.
