A mano libera is a creative bindery and workshop located in the heart of Perugia. Founder Stella Lupo‘s dream is to create a space where design, art and craftsmanship can be shared.
Paper is Stella’s material of choice: it can be cut, stitched, folded and coloured in order to craft original handmade items such as photo albums, notebooks, photo frames, cards and boxes. With tempera and crayons she also designs beautiful and imaginative illustrations, creative book bindings, limited-edition prints, one of a kind pieces, Artists’ books or book-ornaments. In her studio, books become places to explore, classical models are reinvented and traditional moulds are left behind, to make room for new and unique ones.
