La Casa di Lalla is the ceramic restoration workshop of Ilaria Crusizio Obersnel, also called Lalla. Born in Trieste, raised in Tuscany and now living in the province of Bergamo, she has been a restorer and decorator by passion since the 1990s. What was initially a hobby, learnt as a self-taught with many experiments and attempts, became over time a wealth of skills that she decided to share with the world, and turn into her profession.
Since 2010, she has dedicated herself to the recovery of objects and furniture; then, in 2018, she discovered Kintsugi, a traditional Japanese restoration technique, which she fell in love with, and thus decided to devote herself completely to it. Today in her atelier she gives new life and splendour to ancient and functional elements through the enhancement of their fractures, as happens with Kintsugi.
In her home-studio in Dalmine, which can be visited by appointment, she therefore repairs ceramics with the modern and traditional Kintsugi technique, holds courses and workshops, and restores and decorates objects.
