Milena L’Annunziata is an architect, designer, and goldsmith. Her passion for metalworking started during her studies in architecture, and since then she has always accompanied her professional work as architect with working with various metals. Starting as a self-taught goldsmith, designing and creating jewellery in silver with the lost wax technique since 2004, she then migrated to large scale works in aluminium, brass, and copper or even industrial metals. All the production is entirely by hand using only the simple tools of the trade.
In recent years her focus has been on researching sculptures to be worn: not simple ornaments but artefacts between jewellery and sculpture and structured to dialogue with the wearer to make a notable and tangible statement.
