The educational role of art, even when working in conditions of extreme discomfort conserves all its potential, opens breaches, acts as bridges between different cultures. Thus when simple metal is transformed into a jewel to be worn, then we know that dreams can become reality! This project was born from an idea by the architect Riccardo Dalisi: other projects were later added by other leading Campania-based designers and I also donated some of my designs for a collection of jewellery that will be produced in collaboration with the Scuola della Porcellana and the Real Fabbrica di Capodimonte. A method to make art a means of social integration and working together in the discovery of ones own potential to foster new human relations.

In the wide range of the Neapolitan ceramic manufacturing of the 18th century, Manifattura F.lli Stingo deserves a place of honour. The Stingo family represents the bridge between history and our time, and it is currently the last and the only company of the 18th century that is still in business. Its heritage of drawings is constantly enriched by new proposals that interpret the current trends of interior design and architecture. We have been working with this company for some time now. The workshop welcomes as trainees some of the best students of the historic school of ceramics of Naples, the “Istituto a indirizzo raro Caselli”. By entering their workshop, you will dive into a timeless dimension.
