In 1947, Carlo Scotti created a little workshop with the aim of producing high quality pipes that would be technically and aesthetically at the top. He called it Pipa Castello. The business has been passed on to Franco Coppo today, who continues the Pipa tradition of working. Castello’s pipes are rare pieces, completely hand-made by skilled craftsmen. The entire working process takes place in Italy: the choice of wood, the storage at the workshop, the ten years of aging, the first cut of the raw material, and finally the finishing and varnishing. Every year less than 5,000 exclusive pipes are produced with special attention, each one different in small details.
