Italia su misura
The portal dedicated to Italian excellent craftsmanship“Italia su Misura” (Italy Made to Measure) is a guide featuring 100 seleted addresses representing some of Italy’s best craft shops and workshops, that have been acknowledged for excellence and meet a number of requirements, first and foremost, that of having all processing stages performed on premises.
An extraordinary journey covering the whole country, from north to south, learning about the art of creating one-of-a-kind objects: from tailoring to jewelry, from home décor to pottery, furnishing, musical instruments and folk traditions. Every region is a world within a world, with its own distinctive characteristics and uniquess. A journey through the wonderful world of hand-making, a heritage of craftsmanship which is recognized for greatness by all, but is not known to all.
The publication of Italia su misura has been strongly pursued by Gruppo Editoriale, by Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte and by Associazione Osservatorio dei Mestieri d’Arte (OmA), thanks to the generous support of Vacheron Constantin, the historic fine watchmaking Maison based in Geneve.
