The Siniscalchi shirtmaker’s atelier was founded by Vittorio Siniscalchi in 1948. After working several years side by side with his father, learning this particular craft and developing a passion for it, Alessandro took over the atelier in 1982. The approach to shirtmaking has not changed over the years: first, measures are taken. Then a light fabric as well as custom-made paper patterns are prepared. Finally, fabrics are chosen and cut by hand. The final steps include hand-sewing buttonholes, flat fell seams, initials and embroideries.
