Anna Bello is a textile decorator. After her studies in the arts, she worked for several years in a workshop, producing intaglio prints in collaboration with important Italian artists. She then set up her own brand of accessories and devoted herself to painting on fabric, an ancient technique that she reinterprets in a contemporary style.
In her workshop in Concordia Sagittaria, in the province of Venice, she creates hand-painted fashion accessories, mainly scarves and pashminas. Starting with the selection of fabrics, the craftswoman takes care of every detail and every stage in the creation of the product, which is strictly handmade.
The fabrics are decorated with special shapes and motifs, or with words from poetry, thus giving a romantic touch to her unique pieces, which thus become ‘walking poems’, as Anna likes to call them.
The nuances of the colours are reminiscent of watercolour painting: a work that combines artistic flair and traditional craftsmanship, where the small imperfections of the handmade process contribute to make each accessory truly exclusive.
