Calzature SP is a workshop located in Sassello, near Savona, specializing in creating hand-crafted shoes with passion, talent and competence since 1920.
The activity first started more than a century ago, when Raimondo Pesce returned from the war with a wounded foot and, unable to resume his work as a carpenter, decided to pursue craft shoemaking, a trade he had learned from his father.
Over the years of the Italian “economic boom”, hand-crafting was discontinued in order to meet the growing demand for mass-produced models. But, around 2010, the eagerness to return to craftsmanship prompted Raimondo’s nephew Simone to rediscover the techniques and secrets of the trade representing his family’s legacy. Today Simone proudly runs the workshop, creating entirely handmade quality shoes for men, women and children, also upon commission.
