Esse2 was founded in 1990 by a family of master glassworkers, initially as producers of Venetian beads. These beads are produced using the traditional lamp blowing technique which consists in working molten glass rods which are wound round a copper rod and then decorating the bears with 18 carat gold or silver leaf. Their production range was enlarged in 2018 to include blown glass objects such as the typical Venetian goto or decorated tumbler as well as jewellery accessories and table ornaments. Working today in the laboratory are the master glassmakers Francesco Serena and Don Stefano, assisted by the bead threaders Carlotta Serena and Serena Piazzetta. Esse2’s products are characterised by their attention to the smallest detail and a design which united the refined lines of tradition and modernity.
