Maria Antonietta Taticchi trained by working in the workshop of Guido Montanari in Deruta, a village in the province of Perugia well known for artistic ceramics. She then graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and, in 1986, opened her first workshop in Perugia, the Umbrian capital, specialized in the decoration of ceramic objects with landscapes and views of the city. Her repertoire continues in the new workshop, Materia Ceramica, which she opened in 2015, run together with her daughter Caterina: here furnishing accessories and jewellery in ceramics, hand painted using brush tip strokes, with the same motifs inspired by the Umbrian scenery, are made. As well as the Visions, Landscape and Trees collections, decorations with a more modern and refined design, which can also be customized on the client’s request, are available.
