Mario Lunati’s workshop making string instruments is the result of a passion which started in 1981, when the craftsman made his first violin. Since then the master craftsman has matured thirty years of experience in making string instruments, staring from the choice of raw materials of very high quality: carefully selected woods which he seasons himself, taking care to combine aesthetic and mechanical qualities, in order to guarantee instruments of exquisite beauty and exceptional sound. In the picturesque workshop in Vico delle Compere 2, on the second floor of the historical Genoa building of  Casatorre in Sottoripa, violins, violas and cellos are made and repaired, including for well-established musicians. Services of tuning and varnishing are also offered, as well as the issue of certificates of authenticity.
