Discovering and preserving paper

Recto Verso is Federica Delìa’s workshop, where she restores books, paper and photographs. Federica Delìa has collected many years of experience in restoration and conservation techniques for books and archive materials in general, paper artworks and photographs dating back to any historical period (from the Middle Ages to contemporary times) and realised in many different countries (from Italy and Europe to African, Islamic and Asian countries). Mainly active in Italy and Rome, where her atelier is located, she travelled all around the world collaborating with international restoration, research and training programmes. She also cooperates with different public institutions, museums, archives and libraries, she is a member of the International Committee for Museums (ICOM) as well as the coordinator of ICOM Italia’s Conservation Commission. Since 2019 she teaches Paper Restoration at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome.
