Studio Ceramico Giusti is a ceramic workshop and school located in Paterno Pelago, in the hills surrounding Florence. Here, for more than 30 years, they have been designing and crafting stoneware and porcelain tableware, as well as home decors, all turned, processed and decorated entirely by hand. Sandra and Stefano Giusti run the workshop: these two artisans started working with ceramic in 1980, in Florence, under the guidance of Giancarlo Girard. They then attended the “school of terracotta” in Impruneta, where later, alongside other ceramists, they opened a workshop and devoted themselves to the creation of artistic pieces in limited series. In 1989 the studio was moved to the current location: the two ceramists finally took an interest in everyday-use objects, where the values of tradition can successfully be combined with contemporary language. Today they craft functional objects with a modern twist, pairing their artistic production with teaching.
