Studio Terrae is a ceramics atelier founded in 2020 by Sonia Armellin, Francesca Petricich and Charlotte Ménard. Born from the creative collaboration and synthesis of its founders’ experiences in art, architecture and ceramics, Studio Terrae bases its research on the dialogue between art and nature.
At the atelier in Premariacco, in the province of Udine, they mainly make plant pots with pure lines and textural texture, which are born from the combination of design, quality craftsmanship and functionality. Each creation is a unique work that preserves the life force of the earth from which it takes form.
Production is entirely handcrafted, without the aid of molds, and is executed with great care and dedication, from conception to modeling to firing. Pieces are also made to order, and there is a choice of different patterns and colors. Ash, graphite, coffee, coral and antique pink-the shades available evoke nature, its simplicity and authenticity.
Each pot is designed to promote the well-being of plants: each has an internal double bottom to ensure water balance, and small openings to allow aeration and prevent stagnation. They are designed for indoors, but the studio also makes some for outdoors on request, with cold-resistant clays.
