Sygla is a craft brand specializing in handmade wooden pens, founded in Ragusa by Salvatore Fazzino, Sicilian craftsman greatly experienced in woodworking. In fact, he first approached the trade when he was 15 years old, while he always cultivated a passion for writing. In 2015 he decided to turn his passion into a profession, and created his brand.
His accessories are crafted with exquisite woods sourced from local trees, such as olive, lemon, almond and carob, honeyberry, walnut and mulberry.
The idea was based on the desire to give life to a high-quality product, unique and at the same time affordable, designed for those who love the beauty of wood and the art of writing.
The workmanship is long and complex: it all starts with the selection of the material, based on quality and colour, which is then cut and moulded into the desired shape; later the pen is engraved and finally masterfully treated and finished.
Each pen is one-of-a-kind, also thanks to the fact that wood, a living material, changes over time; and each item is crafted with great care and attention to detail.
