BIO

Vito Nesta is a designer from Puglia, born in 1987.
After graduating in Interior Design in Florence, he moved to Milan, where he currently lives and works.
As a designer, art director, interior decorator and even artisan, his work ranges from graphics to architecture, from painting to photography. He draws inspiration from his travels around the world and by discovering different countries and cultures, as well as by using the objects of his upbringing, such as his grandmother’s sewing tools or his grandfather’s shaving accessories, which he manipulates by turning them into eclectic pieces of furniture and decoration objects.
Despite his young age, Vito Nesta has already worked for different brands and companies, such as Devon & Devon, Effetto Vetro, Fratelli Majello, Sambonet, Wallpaper San Patrignano, Exto, Tappezzerie Druetta, Ceramiche Gatti, Karpeta, Les-Ottomans, Riva 1920, Roche Bobois, Texturae, Limonta and Secondome Gallery.

I have been collaborating with Effetto Vetro for a long time, we have worked on different projects and each time it was a great experience that enriched me so much. Maurizio and Andrea are above all researchers: they dedicated themselves to the study of the materials of glass making for years (vintage and out of production glass, coloured mirrors…). They constantly explore, and their creativity is limitless. Getting in their workshop is an immersive experience in the world of glass.

I met Gabriele and Veronica Druetta during the London Design Fair, for the project Crossovers by Adorno. It’s impossible not to be enchanted by their energy, passion and constant curiosity for their craft. Tappezzerie Druetta could be called a temple of artisanal knowledge, with a great understanding and regard for the past, yet with an eye towards the future.
