Master goldsmith, jeweller, sculptor and musician Alessandro Dari works in his own museum-atelier in the heart of Florence, a prestigious historic and cultural landmark, where the artist also holds goldsmith’s courses and over 900 of his own art pieces are on display. Following a family tradition dating back to the 17th century, Dari’s jewels are inspired to Etruscan, Classic, Gothic and Renaissance styles, while his collections feature innovative themes taken from anatomy and architecture.
In his book “Il misticismo nelle forme” (Mysticism in Forms), Dari describes the genesis of his works – shown in many international exhibitions and personal shows – as well as the profound philosophy underlying them.
A honorary professor in the Faculty of Architecture in Florence, in 2006 he was appointed “chosen artist” for the Vatican.
