Donato Coppola was born in Bernalda, close to Matera, in 1964. Driven by ambition and curiosity, at a very young age he left his hometown and moved to London. Here, he took his first steps in the interior design field, first working in Mauro Perucchetti’s studio and later opening his own atelier: Officina Coppola Ltd. The studio introduced innovative techniques in applied arts, pioneering the use of liquid metal, lime stone and resin to create furniture, artworks and installations.
In 2019 he moved back to Basilicata and founded Lyki Design S.r.l., where he and his new team craft truly unique creations. He collaborated with famous designers, architects and international artists. His artworks can be found in prestigious label stores, such as Fendi Dior and Chanel, as well as in private residences, luxury yachts and hotels. He won the “Best Interior Award” in 2018.
