In 1926, the Brioni family acquired the historical “Fornacione” in Gonzaga, close to Mantua, to start the production of terracotta tiles. After nearly a hundred years of activity, Fornace Brioni now belongs to fourth-generation owners Alessio and Alberto Brioni.
Besides renovating historical floors, the two brothers are now specialising in different versions of terracotta tiles: from uniform versions to variegated or enamelled ones, from traditional pink tiles to more contemporary grey or black versions. Their experience and respect of traditional working methods ensure the highest quality and finishing standards, while their versatility and wide-ranging customising skills allow Fornace Brioni to meet each client’s requirements.
In 2017, guided by their keen attitude to innovation, the Brioni brothers started a significant evolutionary process in their firm by entrusting architect Cristina Celestino with the creative direction of the brand.
