Since 1854 the Maglia family has been crafting custom and entirely handmade umbrellas.
A refined accessory, customizable in every detail, carefully tended to by founder Francesco Maglia during each step of the manufacturing, from the selection of materials to the making of the final product: in his workshop in Milan, it’s possible to choose from a wide selection of fabrics, all hand-crafted on tie looms, and an endless combination of handles and canes in natural wood such a chestnut, ash, bamboo, oak or cherry. The result is a truly unique product, able to enhance the personality of its owner, made according to the most authentic craft tradition and using only brass, wood and iron components.
In the last few years, thanks to a high demand from Japanese and American customers, the workshop also began crafting refined parasols in lace and natural fibres, with exquisite handles made of ornate bamboo, horn and silver.
