Franchina Tresoldi started to paint in the 1960s, when she studied and worked as an advertising graphic artist. Her iconic works started to take form in the following decade from her interest in history and urban architecture with piazzas, monuments and farm buildings. Starting with landscapes and bird’s eye views, she produces her vast series of art etchings. She then approached the art of copperplate etching and collaborated with important galleries, art publishers and public and private clients to sell and exhibit her works. In the 1990s she created the range of ceramics “Ciottolo di Città”: ceramic bowls and everyday objects in porcelain decorated with her splendid landscapes reproduced by transfer and third firing and the “Ciottolo del Parco” range featuring animals and trees. Her works are available in museum bookshops and other art venues.
