Luciano Tousco is a craft carpenter specializing in creating custom furnishings and home decors. He became interested in the world of woodworking as a child, crafting the typical Valdostan toys called “Cornailles”, as well as whistles and roosters.
Later he worked as a ski instructor, and during off-season he began attending a carpentry workshop in Gressoney, where he became passionate about artistic woodworking. In 2002 he opened a carpentry workshop with a colleague, mainly focusing on restoring antique furniture and creating original pieces using reclaimed wood. He had the chance to showcase his work at many regional trade fairs, winning several awards. Later he moved to Gaby, his original home town, and opened his own business inside what used to be his family’s workshop, once owned by his great-grandfather, father and uncle. Here, today, Luciano creates hand-crafted furnishings with a contemporary taste, occasionally employing resin, enhancing the shapes and charm of the wooden matter.
