Il Micromosaico is Luigina Rech’s workshop, dedicated to Roman spun enamel micromosaic. Her studio and atelier is located in the heart of Rome and carries on ancient artistic techniques in the fields of restoration, painting and decoration. Particularly, she specializes in unique mosaic and micromosaic artworks, jewels and pictures, also custom-made. Luigina Rech trained under Vincenzo Renzi, master mosaicist of the Vatican Studio, where she learned all the techniques of this art. She later specialized in spun enamel micromosaic, a technique born in Rome in the 18th century, while also studying restoration and ancient decorative and applied arts techniques such ad fresco, encaustic and egg-yolk tempera, among others. Her artworks can be found in private collections all over the world. She also teaches these techniques in her workshop, while collaborating with trade associations for the promotion of the Arts.
