Mario Moro, born in 1972, started studying woodworking almost by chance. At a very young age he started working as a shop boy, perfecting his manufacturing skills in order to later start his own business. Today, in his studio in Garzigliana, he carefully and skilfully builds furniture and interior design items for homes and offices. His creations stand out thanks to the clean styling and well-defined lines, the original choice of colours and the combination of different materials.
Through manual work and manipulation, Mario explores the infinite possibilities of wood as living matter, while always trying to respect the material in its essence. Though his works have a very distinctive style, he also designs and creates custom furniture, accommodating each client’s needs. Recently he presented the new “Ombra” line, a series of pieces of furniture decorated with a special technique: the chemical reaction of light on previously polished and painted wood surfaces creates a pattern resembling the shadows of tree branches.
