Michele Fabbricatore, originally from Florence, is a ceramist working and living in Pistoia. Born in 1972, he has always been passionate about drawing and sculpture, since childhood. After studying sculpture at Florence’s Fine Art Academy, he took several courses in graphic design and incision at the prestigious school “Il Bisonte”, and later at “L’Armadillo” atelier, in Florence. He also attended “Scuola Internazionale di illustrazione di Fondazione Zavrel” (Zavrel Foundation International School of Illustration) in Sarmede (Treviso).
Today he creates illustrations, but mostly sculptures, artworks and decorative ceramic objects, inspired by what he loves most: literature, mythology, fairy tales and nature. For him, art is a tool to portray a poetic and dreamy world, with a touch of irony. And such are his creations: drawings and tiny sculptures telling the story of a harmonious, playful and somewhat magical world and lifestyle.
He showcased his artworks both in Italy and abroad.
