Mutazioni Studio is a workshop specialising in the creation of stage costumes and props. The craft company was founded in Turin in 1991, after a couple of years of experimentation and a short period into the Hollywood of special effects.
Founded by Michele Guaschino, in over 30 years of work Mutazioni Studio has realised the most diverse requests, collaborating with museums and artists and realising projects for fashion and advertising, cinema, theatre and television.
They produce stage costumes and props, including masks, theatre and film prosthetics and make-up, as well as human and animal anatomy reproductions. They also make prototypes for artists or for art and science exhibitions.
The variety products as led Michele and his team of specialised crafters to have a broad knowledge of the techniques and the materials, from the traditional to the most innovative ones.
In 2002, the studio was awarded the Piedmont Region’s “Eccellenza Artigiana” (Craftsmanship excellence) accolade.
