The passion for beauty and art are the essence of Osti Ricami Alta Moda, maison and atelier specializing in haute-couture embroidery founded in Milan in 1920 by Pia Osti. In 1992, Luisa Pelosio took over the business.
Each embroidery is entirely handmade according to Italian craft tradition, while constantly researching, innovating and experimenting with new techniques and materials. This combination of know-how and search for innovation enriches time and time again the already wide range of the atelier’s collections, preserved within the extraordinary historical archive of Pia Osti and her brother Ernesto’s creations.
Embroideries are realized for fashion brands, artists and designers, and are applied on fashion accessories, wedding and formal gowns and other garments.
The atelier promotes embroidery combined to different forms of arts, also in collaboration with schools and institutions, by running workshops, educational projects for students, and participating in conferences.
Embroidery courses from basic to advanced level are also held in the atelier, enabling students to learn the many techniques of hand and machine embroidery, macramé, fabric flower making and other textile techniques.
