Born in Calabria, but Milanese by adoption, Antonio Piluso established his workshop in 1982. Two years later, he created his own trademark: Pilgiò.
His approach to matter as an ever-changing, energy-releasing element, rather than an inert body is an essential element of his work. All of his jewels, as well as his olive-wood sculptures, seem to grow out of his hands like shapes drawn on paper, suddenly revealing their charms. For several decades now, Antonio has been using his amazing creative force to produce unique jewels, which are the outcome of inexhaustible research and experimentation. He stretches matter to its natural limits and gives rise to innovative, unprecedented techniques. Barbaric jewels, Oriental art, skillful combinations of materials, natural elements, and private memories are the source of his inspiration.
The expressive vigour and the unique nature of his works have given Pilgiò an international name.
