Revilo Pellicce is an craft fur shop in Milan, run by Oliviero Barberi.
Before opening the business, Oliviero approached the world of furs by chance: he was working in a bar in the city centre and bringing coffees to nearby shops, including a fur atelier. Fascinated by this world, he was invited by the owner to began working there as an apprentice.
He then learnt the basics of the craft, from choosing and cutting the skins to customer service. He later gained experience in a few other workshops in the city, before opening his own business with his wife. They soon began working for important fashion brands, and making increasingly complex furs, with inlays of flowers, animals and abstract motifs.
In 2007 their son Riccardo joined their parents in the business: the time was ripe to develop their own collection, with original and unique decorations.
Each piece is made with extreme attention to detail and with top quality materials. The workshop also makes garments on commission or based on customers’ designs, such as the two iconic and colourful Sailor Moon and Creamy Mami furs, dedicated to the two manga characters.
