Stefano Parrini is a craft leather craftsman based in Vicchio, near Florence. His studio is not only a leather workshop, but also a meeting and sharing space, where he holds courses and teaches the secrets of leather work.
From a very young age he showed great manual skills and a huge passion for creative activities. He first approached leather craftsmanship during his travels through Central and South America, where he came into contact with local cultures and traditions. Over time, he started creating his own models for saddlery and other leather goods, specializing in travel and hiking gear, as well as functional objects and clothing accessories, all handmade in vegetable-tanned leather, sewn with waxed linen thread: this particular hand-processing makes each piece truly unique. He also teaches at “Scuola del Cuoio” (Leather School), “Accademia Riaci” and “IED” (European Design Institute) in Florence.
