Antonello Puddu is a master woodworker and inlayer from Cagliari, the heir of a precious tradition from this area of Sardinia, the artistic skill of creative woodworking. As a young boy, he learnt the skills of the carpentry trade from his father by helping him in his workshop. In his own workshop today he creative decorative objects, furnishing elements and toys in wood which are not only beautiful but functional too, uniting an age-old traditional skill with innovative design. Benches, sideboards, chairs, tables, and children’s games are all made by hand and can even be customised; they are then decorated and inlaid with those unmistakable Sardinian traditional motifs. His typical woven seat chairs, coloured rocking horses, and the traditional Sardinian marriage chests are truly unique.
