Arteviva Tessitura a Mano is Liviana Di Giusto’s craft workshop.
The atelier was founded in 1980 and is located in Udine: in this space with a truly evocative atmosphere, Liviana and her associate Elena Sanguankeo work on antique low and high heald wooden looms, hand-crafting home decors and garments such as rugs, pillows, shawls and scarves, as well as tapestries and contemporary artworks, installations and textile paintings and sculptures.
For many years now Liviana has been researching materials and fabrics: thanks to her long experience in weaving and her profound knowledge of the techniques of the trade, she is able to design and create any object, weaving warps and wefts. Threads are thus skilfully combined to give life to truly original creations for hanging, framing or wearing. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and stands out for its sophisticated and contemporary design.

Il laboratorio di Liviana è un posto magico: la cosa che più stupisce è quanto i telai lignei, così “monotoni” nei movimenti, riescano a creare delle sculture in tessuto, vive e dinamiche. I filati metallici che impiega aiutano a modellare le superfici, difatti non possiamo parlare di singoli arazzi, ma di vere e proprie opere d’arte contemporanea! Nel laboratorio, oltre ai pezzi unici, vengono prodotte anche morbidissime pashmine in cachemire e cotone.
