CaCO3 Studio was established in 2006, on the initiative of Âniko Ferreira da Silva, Giuseppe Donnaloia and Pavlos Mavromatidis; three artists who, after attending the Mosaic Restoration School in Ravenna, developed and shared a common path of artistic research focused on mosaics. In their work, ancient and contemporary aesthetics come together, giving rise to new formal perspectives.
Their paintings and panels are conceived and realised by six hands, combining design and manual skill, resulting in true works of art where tiles and glazes create truly original and unexpected effects and colours.
The group is based in Ravenna, where is also their workshop. They have exhibited their works at important national and international fairs, as well as in renowned museums in Italy and abroad, and collaborate with art and design galleries. They carry out ambitious commissions for high-profile interior design projects, for private clients and in collaboration with companies and architecture studios.
