Claudia Frignani established Wunderkammer Studio in 1993, in a long collaboration with her brothers Nicola and Mattia, carrying forward an intense activity with different materials, until she recently discovered her great passion for ceramics.
In her home-laboratory in Milan, she creates unique pieces inspired to nature’s lines and colours, which are then reworked according to her own personal aesthetic research. She personally works entire blocks of raw clay by hand and shapes amazing vases which are later enriched with scales, leaves and veins, thus outlining three-dimensional textures. After leaving them to dry and after ten days’ kiln firing, the vases are ready to be glazed and fired for the last time. A slow creative process starting from simple materials and growing into precious objects, in a refined balance between art and design.
