Dzoyé is a project by Chicco Margaroli and based on the valorisation of the traditions of the Aosta Valley: the artist has reinvented the traditional and local soque, a medieval clog typical of the region. In her laboratory in Aosta, she creates these veritable works of art to be worn: Chicco has maintained the original form of the shoe but covers them with textiles and decorations while conserving the soles in alder wood for its lightness and insulation properties. The traditional leather uppers are substituted with a soft suede which is painted and decorated using a special type of pigment to guarantee durability and water resistance.
In 2020 and in collaboration with the workshop Calzature Tarcio of Funo, Chicco Margaroli created the new Corner model, a flat and squarish shoe with a Renaissance embroidery finish.
