Elisabetta Bovina and Carlo Pastore are designers and ceramists. In 1990, together, they founded Elica Studio: a workshop of applied arts and design located in Bologna, where they design and create truly unique and eclectic artworks such as sculptures, interior design items and porcelain and silver jewels.
Their signature feature is the contamination between different disciplines: in their work, ceramics interact with set design and performative arts.
Besides crafting their own pieces, they also work for other brands: today they create designs for Arcolaio, Raramanu an Visionnaire, while also collaborating with Ossigeno magazine.
In 2009, in Bologna, they opened “Crete pièce unique”, a multi-purpose space serving both as a showroom for their artworks, a gallery where they showcase items by selected designers and artisans, and an experimental platform for performing arts.
